Meditations Great Obstacle

Meditation's Great Obstacle

"Things that you cannot face in yourself you will hate when you see
them in someone else. To counteract this, your universal love, the
platform for Self Realization, must be awakened into the emotions of
the instinctive mind and filter out into the conscious mind. So, as
you are meditating and the various aspects of your subconscious come
up, face them positively, reprogram them beautifully, and they will
settle back into simply a memory pattern, resolved and incapable of
disturbing you again.

If you see something in someone else you do not like and it is
affecting you emotionally, sit down and face it within your own
subconscious mind. The sore spot is located there. If you feel
someone is doing something that you do not think he should be doing,
and this really gets on your nerves, just know that under the right
circumstances you may do the same thing because the tendency to react
to it is there in your subconscious. Get into yourself and reprogram
that area of your subconscious with good, positive affirmations. Firm
up your lifestyle, be more strict with yourself, use your willpower
and think positively.

Do not allow a weak link in a chain of habit patterns to bar your
spiritual unfoldment even for a moment. Sometimes we detect the weak
link in our own chain by looking into the lives of other people.

If your parents are living the type of life that grates on your
nerves, begin to realize now that perhaps when you become their age
you may live a similar life. The grating effect that you feel
indicates that the seeds of that kind of life are just coming up, and
you are trying to suppress them by criticizing your parents, whereas
what you should be doing is strengthening yourself through having
compassion toward  them.

One of the biggest barriers on the spiritual path is to dislike our
own subconscious as we become familiar with it. We must watch this
pitfall very closely. The subconscious mind is not an enemy. It is
just a well-used piece of equipment that we are renewing. If we make
an enemy out of the subconscious mind and walk around hanging our
head, wondering why this happened and why that happened, and "If it
were not for the subconscious I would be farther along the path," we
are simply programming the subconscious to become an even more
formidable barrier. Instead, we have to bless the subconscious mind
and look at it as a vital tool to help us in our spiritual evolution.

Take a mountain-top attitude. If you are having a difficult day, tell
yourself, "I'm working with my subconscious mind. Admittedly, things
are not working out very well for me today, but I think I will have
it all adjusted by evening." Run to the store, buy a lot of paper, do
a lot of writing and burning and clear up various subconscious areas
and release awareness to soar within again. This is called the vasana
daha tantra.

The point I want to make is: do not fear the subconscious mind.
Realize that it has not been programmed as it should be. Therefore,
the program has to be changed. Realize that your superconsciousness
is the master programmer. Get busy and reprogram your subconscious
through the power of affirmation. You can do it through the powers of
meditation.

Of course, there is a portion of the subconscious mind that remains
more or less the same, handling the instinctive, involuntary
processes of  the physical body. But by following a sattvic diet,
which is conducive to meditation, this area of the subconscious also
begins to improve. As we improve food intake and elimination
processes, we stop storing up poisons in our cells. As stored poisons
are released within the body, they are eliminated regularly. This
more physical area of the subconscious mind is also improved through
proper breathing, proper posture, hatha yoga, getting plenty of sun,
exercise, walking and all of the many wonderful things that benefit
the physical body.

Add to your contemplative lifestyle a craft. Working with your hands
in doing a craft as a hobby, taking physical substance and turning it
into something different, new and beautiful--this kind of creativity
is important in remoulding the subconscious mind. It is also symbolic.
You are actually remoulding something on the physical plane and, by
doing so, educating yourself in the process of changing the appearance
of a physical structure, thus making it easier to change the more
subtle mental and emotional structures within your own subconscious
mind."

Multi-Purpose Streanghtaning Meditation

Ok, before I post the acctual technique, I'm going to tell you
exactly what it is that the technique will be doing.  First off,
your
mind doesn't remember things in words.  It remembers in pictures,
feelings, sounds, tastes, and smells.  So out of all of these,
pictures is most likely the easiest to make this meditation work.
So
what the technique acctually does, is send a direct signal to your
mind in your mind's language.  This causes very good results in your
abilities.  So onto the technique.

EXERCISE:
Now before you do the exercise, you have to know what ability you
want to work on is.  So now  clear your mind of everything and then
think of the ability that you want to develop is.  Like say in your
mind "TELEKINESIS" and then notice the first picture that comes into
your mind.  Don't be surprised at what you see first or second guess
it.  You may get some very weird pictures, like an upside-down
pinapple on top of a flag poll.  If that's the first image you get,
then that's the image you have to work with.  So now go into any
type
of meditation.  If you don't know one, then here's one.
Lay down on your bed and close your eyes.  Relax as much as you
can.
Now tense up every muscle in your body as much as you can for a few
minutes before completely relaxing.  You need to know what tension
feels like before you can know what relaxation feels like.
Now now empty your mind as though you were trying to go to sleep.
Then imagine the picture that you saw before you started the
meditation (like the pinapple thing) don't concentrate on it or
focus
on it, just let it come.  If you force it it won't work, and that's
true for any psi ability.  Now imagine the image becoming clearer
and
brighter and the colors becoming stronger.  Now imagine this for at
least fifteen minutes before opening your eyes.

Visualization Meditation

This exercise will open and balance the chakras.  There are
many variations of the Tower of Light, but the one that we will use
here is the one used by various followers of the Golden Dawn and its
offshoots.  You may also hear it referred to as the Middle Pillar
Ritual.  There are more chakras than those listed here, but these
are
the ones that we need to stimulate in order to astrally project.
The start of this exercise is rhythmic breathing.  This is a
cornerstone of western spirituality as well as the more well known
eastern versions.  First find your pulse.  Then familiarize yourself
with the rhythm of the heart.  The idea is to use your pulse as the
timekeeper for your breathing. For example:

1.  Breathe in to the count of 4 beats
2.  Hold breath for 2 beats
3.  Breathe out to the count of 4 beats
4.  Hold breath out for 2 beats
5.  Repeat
The ratio does not have to be 2:4.  It may be 3:6 or 4:8 also.
Experiment and find out which one feels right for you.
It is now time to do the actual Tower of Light exercise.  The
steps should be memorized and are as follows:

Stand erect with the feet close together but not touching.
Start  rhythmic breathing.  Continue till it starts to feel natural.
On an in-breath visualize a small sphere (about 2") of bright light
situated 2-3 inches above the head.  This is the Crown Chakra.  On
each in-breath visualize this sphere getting brighter.  Do this for
4
to 5 breathes.
On an out breath visualize a shaft of this same light shooting down
from the crown chakra to your forehead in the area of the third
eye.
On an in-breath visualize a small sphere of bright light half
outside
the head and half inside in the area where your third eye is
supposed
to be.  This is the brow chakra.  Visualize the sphere getting
brighter on each in-breath for 4 to 5 cycles.
On an out-breath visualize a shaft of bright light shooting from
the
brow chakra to the area of the throat. This is the throat chakra.
On
an in-breath visualize a small sphere of bright light just outside
the throat but not touching the body.  Visualize the sphere getting
brighter on each in-breath for 4 to 5 cycles.
On an out-breath visualize a shaft of bright light shooting from the
throat chakra to the area of the heart.  This is the heart chakra.
On an in-breath visualize a small sphere of bright light half inside
and half outside the chest.  Visualize the sphere getting brighter
on
each in-breath for 4 to 5 cycles.
On an out-breath visualize a shaft of bright light shooting from the
heart chakra to the area of the groin.  This is the base chakra.  On
an in-breath visualize a small sphere of bright light half inside
and
half outside the area of the groin.  Visualize the sphere getting
brighter on each in-breath for 4 to 5 cycles.
On an out-breath visualize a shaft of bright light shooting from the
base chakra to the area of the feet.  This is the earth chakra.  On
an in-breath visualize a small sphere of bright light half inside
and
half outside the ground.  The sphere is touching the insoles of the
feet.  Visualize the sphere getting brighter on each in-breath for 4
to 5 cycles.
Visualize the connection of all the chakras to each other through
the
shaft of light.  Do this for 4 to 5 in-breathes.
On an in-breath visualize a bright shaft of white light flowing from
the earth chakra up through the body.  You should visualize this
shaft of bright light activating all the chakras as it passes up
through the body.
When this shaft of bright light reaches the crown chakra, it will
split in half with half going down each side of the body (but not
touching the body) and connecting with the earth chakra.  The upward
shaft of light is performed on an in-breath and the downward return
to the earth chakra is performed on an out-breath.
Do this for 4 to 5 cycles.  Gradually let the shaft of bright light
get dimmer until it fades.
By this time you will be feeling all sorts of strange sensations.
If
you are not,  then your personal energy is low.  Time to access your
lifestyle and see what you can do to redirect energy, but that is a
topic for another article.  After performing this for a while you
may
get a strange sensation in the brow chakra.  It may feel like a
tingling sensation, or possibly like the skin is shrinking.  This is
normal and signifies that the brow chakra is becoming more aware.
This is what you want.  Learn to love the sensation, even though
sometimes it is so intense that it is distracting.
Remember, practice this exercise every day for the rest of your
life!  It will be well worth it.

Shielding Menditation for the Strongly Empathic

Shielding Meditation for the Strongly Empathic

The psychic shield this meditation creates will allow you, when it is
activated, to filter out strong emotions that can be disorienting or
even draining.
To start, sit or lie comfortably, and calm your breathing.
Feel your body coming to rest.
Now, take an extra-deep breath and begin building a mental shield
around yourself.
Feel layer upon layer building up, wrapping itself around you in a
warm protective coating.
Feel the shield becoming translucent, even porous.
Let it become a part of you, and then visualize yourself reaching out
a hand to touch the shield, seeing a static pulse appear under your
fingers.
Know that when any strong emotions come toward you they will be
vaporized in a similar pulse.
Let the shield damp itself down, remaining dormant until needed.
To activate at any time, visualize the shield powering up around you
like a forcefield brought back to life.

Pilgrim Meditation

1] You have already arrived. So, feel pleasure at each step and do not worry about things that you still have to face. We have nothing before us, just a road to be traveled at each moment with joy. When we practice pilgrim meditation, we are always arriving, our home is the present moment, and nothing more.

2] For that reason, always smile while you walk, Even if you have to force it a bit and feel ridiculous. Get used to smiling and you will end up happy. Do not be afraid of displaying your contentment.

3] If you think that peace and joy always lie ahead, you will never manage to achieve them. Try to understand that they are both your traveling companions.

4] When you walk, you are massaging and honoring the earth. In the same way, the earth is trying to help you to balance your organism and mind. Understand this relationship and try to respect it may your steps have the firmness of a lion, the elegance of a tiger and the dignity of an emperor.

5] Pay attention to what is going on around you. And concentrate on your breathing this will help you to get rid of the problems and worries that try to accompany you on your journey.

6] When you walk, it is not just you that is moving, but all past and future generations. In the so-called real world, time is a measure, but in the true world nothing exists beyond the present moment. Be fully aware that everything that has happened and everything that will happen is in each step you take.

7] Enjoy yourself. Make pilgrim meditation a constant meeting with yourself, never a penance in search of reward. May flowers and fruit always grow in the places touched by your feet.

many blessings to all of you on your journeys

Egyptian sun meditation

Egyptian Sun Meditation

Find a place in the sun, if it is possible this works best outdoors, if
not a sunny spot by a window works well too. Get a comfortable chair and
sit with your back straight, your legs together and your palms resting
on your thighs.

Close your eyes and feel the warmth of the sun on your body, let it
relax you. When you feel relaxed, imagine the sun as a glowing golden
ball floating just over your head, feel that this ball has a strong
masculine personality that knows and loves you.

When this feeling is strong, imagine a beam of light shooting out of the
ball and entering your head through your third eye (middle of the
forehead) feel the light entering your head and cleansing your mind of
negative thoughts and energy.

Next, imagine a second beam coming from the ball and entering your
throat. This beam cleanses your aura, burning negative energy and
outside unbalances away. Now you should imagine a third beam entering
your heart. The energy should warm and comfort you, bringing your
emotions into harmony. Imagine a fourth beam entering your stomach, this
beam energizes your body, providing nourishment and leaving you feeling
healthy and invigorated.

Now raise your hands to the ball, palm up in the egyptian sign of
worship. Imagine a fifth and a sixth beam piercing your palms. The
energy that flows here should bring you in tune with nature and the
universe. Rest in this position as long as you feel comfortable,
allowing the sun's energy to cleanse and invigorate you. When you feel
ready to stop, cross your arms over your chest and gather the beams to
your body making them one with your essence. Imagine the golden ball
gently withdrawing and drifting back to it's place in the sky. When it
has completely retreated open your eyes. The meditation is complete.

The Middle Pillar Exercise

Lying down in quiet area, legs together and arms at your side, close
your eyes and let the tension melt out of your body. When you are
relaxed, visualize an intense sphere of pure white light above your
head. This sphere contains the creative power of the God and Goddess,
imagine yourself as a conduit, when you feel open to receive, imagine
this energy pouring into the top of your head. As it flows downwards
towards your feet, feel the power cleansing and balancing you. As it
passes your throat it should bloom into a second sphere, this one being
a warm golden color and continue downwards.

As it passes further down it should bloom into a deep lavender sphere as
it hits your groin, finally as it exits your feet it turns into a jet
black sphere that completely absorbs the beam. Rest quietly for as long
as you wish, feeling the power of the universe flowing through your
body. Mentally glance to your left and to your right, you should be able
to sense a black pillar on your left and a white pillar on your right,
when you can do this you will know that you are in perfect balance with
the universe.

Rainbow Crystal Meditation

Lying in a comfortable position on your back, place a quartz crystal on
your third eye and allow the tension to melt out of your body.

When you are relaxed, see a beam of pure white energy entering through
the crystal and suffusing your body. As the energy flows through the
crystal see the light shifting until it is a deep red, let the red light
fill you. Next, see the light shifting to orange, then yellow, green,
blue, indigo and violet, letting each color suffuse and permeate you
before proceeding to the next. When you reach violet, you should be in a
deep trance state, and feel a warm tingling filling your body.

This meditation can be used alone or as preparation for some other
meditation or magickal operation like astral projection, or spell
casting. A Meditation to Prepare Yourself to Channel Psychic Energy Sit
comfortably with your hands and feet together. Concentrate on you spinal
column, feeling it as a separate and distinct part of your body. When
you can clearly do this, Visualize your brain as the Womb of Isis, an
intensely feminine receptacle of infinite space and your spine as the
Phallus of Osiris, an intensely masculine source of infinite energy.

Keep the two areas distinct. Now concentrating to the exclusion of all
else, imagine a hunger of one for the other. The brain desiring to
receive the energy of the spine, but do not allow the energy to flow,
hold it back as long as you can. If you are successful, you should begin
to feel hot, and your body may tremble, this is okay. If the heat is too
much separate your hands and feet, this will allow the heat to disapate.
When the tension between the two is as much as you can elevate it to,
imagine a current of deep blue light speckled with red sparks, the width
of a hair running up and down your spine. Release the tension, relax.
See your body as completely empty.

As you achieve more practice with this meditation increase the width of
the light beam in small increments until it is the width of your entire
body, at which point you will be well prepared to channel psychic power
through your body without harmful side effects.

Seeing the Future with Meditation

By Owen Waters

One of the great advantages of regular meditation is that it enhances your sense of intuition. The more you practice meditation, the more you gain insight into every aspect of your life. Insights can relate to present or past events, leading to a greater understanding of your life's path, or they can relate to future events.

Insights into future events can be challenging in four ways:

1. The future is not fixed. Until you experience it, the future remains as an array of possibilities with a "most likely" scenario based on what holds the greatest energy.

2. Viewing the future can change the outcome. Even a 100% accurate view of the most likely scenario will trigger questions about whether you want that scenario to manifest, and that change can influence the outcome. This can give the illusion of inaccuracy in the original prediction.

3. Inner impressions come into your awareness through your imagination. However, a fertile imagination can create images on its own, almost for pure entertainment. True impressions of a future event arrive while you are in a meditative state, or sometimes while performing a monotonous task such as driving at a constant speed. They don't fire up with the great energy of a dramatic imagination. They slip in quietly and have to be examined and unraveled to see what each impression contains.

4. When you first start scanning the future, your predictions will be less accurate than they will become later, after constant practice.

Sometimes, lack of self-esteem can be a barrier to the development of your innate abilities. In that case you need to be aware that everyone is everything that Infinite Being is. The universe is holographic by design, meaning that while the many make up the One, the One is also mirrored within each of the many. So, each person, each spark of Infinite Being, contains all of the qualities of Infinite Being.

Lack of self-esteem, therefore, is only a personality trait and not reflective of your true self.

You have a perfect sense of intuition or insight, just waiting to be developed. One of the hallmarks of the global Shift to higher consciousness is that, with each passing year, more and more people will develop more of their inner abilities.

While you are practicing your intuitive skills, it is a good idea to make written notes for later reference. Insights arrive in your consciousness while you are in an altered, meditative state, so their memory dissipates quickly just like the memory of your dreams. If you keep notes, then re-read them weeks or months later, you will be amazed at how accurate many of these insights were.

Sometimes, you will also see how insights into less than desirable scenarios caused you to make a decision to steer your life in a different direction. When faced with decisions about which direction to turn, the best barometer is always your highest joy. Ask yourself:

"What scenario would represent my highest joy?"

When you follow your highest joy, you are following the path through life which is most closely aligned with your true essence - your soul or inner self

How to Open Your Third Eye
by George A. Boyd ©2001

Meditation on Your Third Eye

This meditation is used to unite your attention with your
attentional principle. This technique is called Purusa Dhyan
meditation. Purusa is the form of consciousness in which you will
behold your attentional principle. Dhyan means to meditate, to gaze
upon an object of meditation, to unite your attention with that
object. In this meditation, your attentional principle is the object
of meditation.

The attentional principle consists of four elements: your attention
(chittam), vehicles (swarup), the essential form of your attentional
principle (purusa), and the wave of consciousness (chetan).

Attention is your mind stuff. Attention is like the cursor on your
computer. It determines where you are focusing. By changing this
focus you can see different things within. Changing this focus of
your attention is called fixation or dharana.

Your attentional principle is encased in several vehicles. When it
rises out of its body focus behind the pitiuitary gland center, it
travels to higher Planes. These different vehicles allow it to
operate in those higher Planes.

This is like when you go deep under the water, you wear a deep sea
diving suit. If you go up in the stratosphere, you may have to wear
a pressurized flight suit. If you go up into outer space, you will
need to wear a space suit. The attentional principle's vehicles are
like these specialized suits that you have to wear when you go into
these different environments.

The essential form of your attentional principle is called purusa.
When the vehicles of its astral, causal and mental bodies have been
put aside, it functions in this essential form.

At its deepest core, your attentional principle is like a wave of
consciousness. When you focus at this level, you move from
contemplating your attentional principle to being your attentional
principle. You identify with it.

In this meditation technique, you will learn how to focus on your
attentional principle and open this third eye within you.

Practice of Purusa Dhyan Meditation

Sit upright in a chair, or in a comfortable cross-legged posture on
a sofa or on a cushion on the floor. Close your eyes, and focus your
attention at the point between your eyebrows. Place your attention
on the following points for three to five minutes each, monitor your
experience at each level, then shift your focus of attention to the
next level:

Sense of sitting in the present time

Awareness of sensations arising from the environment in the present
time

Awareness of sensations arising in the body in the present time

Awareness of emotions arising in the present time

Awareness of thoughts arising in the present time

Awareness of I AM statements arising in the present time, with
associated thoughts, feelings, and memories

Awareness of memories and impressions bubbling up from the
Subconscious

Awareness of the present time being recorded in memory

Focus your attention in turn on each chakra of the Subconscious mind
in the spinal tube

base of spine

behind the navel

behind the solar plexus

behind the heart,

at the place where the neck meets the shoulders

at the base of the skull

at the point where the nose meets the forehead

Move behind the point between the eyebrows towards the top of your
head. You will encounter a presence behind this center that silently
observes. Focus more intently on this presence. You will begin to
see light emanating from this presence.

Affirm quietly, "the self, the size of a thumb, is seated behind the
two eyes. It is self-effulgent light. It is consciousness itself. I
am this consciousness. "

This is the attentional principle. This is your third eye, which
allows you to see within when your two eyes are closed.

Remain in this state for as long as you wish. Then, when you are
ready to return, retrace your steps through each focal point until
you are fully grounded in your normal waking awareness.

Practice this meditation until you can go at will to each focal
point and unite with the attentional principle easily

Tree Meditation by Cait Branigan

Introduction
The Standing Ones, as they are known among certain tribes of North America, have long held the adoration, fascination and awe of human beings. From Egypt and Crete to our own land, Ireland, trees have been a vital source of inspiration and protection. The five sacred trees of Ireland, namely the Oak of Mugna, the Yew of Ross, the Bile Tortan, the Bile DaithÌ and the Craeb Uisneach were the physical and spiritual manifestation of the profound wisdom of tree life on the planet. Not only are trees recognised for their importance in ecological terms, but also, as folklore and mythology testify, for being the dwelling place of gods and goddesses. Many traditions testify to the existence of such myths - in Egypt the fig was seen as a dwelling for the divine; in Britain and Ireland the Yew and the Oak were revered, among others, for their wisdom and nourishment.

Meditation is an important part of any spiritual discipline and, in modern society, has been taken up by stress management consultants as a deep means of relaxation. To enter into stillness and reach a point of knowledge of oneself is not only hugely beneficial to both body and spirit, but also helps us to tap into our source of wisdom.

So where do the two meet, and why would we wish to meditate with trees? Meditation with trees is on one level, a way of accessing the wisdom inherent in trees, wisdom that exists in their biology, and in the ancient and current contact with the land. It is a way of re-establishing the union that exists between all living things, of accessing the web of life of which we are a part. Trees have been around longer than humans, and like whales, have memories that stretch far back into the distant past. Their view of time is different to humans as they live longer lives in the main, and are deeply in tune with the cyclical nature of the seasons which we have chosen to disregard for the past century or so. They provide us with a connection to all the levels of existence - their roots reach deep into the earth and draw nourishment from the soil; their trunk stands strong and tall in the world around, unashamedly; their branches reach far above to the air, which provides clarity and the breath of life.

On a physical level, being around trees and breathing around trees is of huge benefit. They cleanse the air and their strong physical presence gives us a sense of security and protection. They provide us with food, in the form of fruit; and their bark, leaves and flowers have been used in herbal and aromatherapy remedies for centuries.

So how do we meditate with trees?
There are various methods available to people to help them to meditate with trees. Books fill shelves in shops around the world which explain at great length our connection to tree and plant life and how to consciously establish that connection. Below are some simple techniques that are easy to remember, yet can help people to establish deep and lasting relationships with trees. It is a good idea to prepare yourself before you head out to the park/woods to make sure that you have everything you need: in other words, make sure you have warm clothing (if it is not Summer), rain-gear, ground mat in case the earth is wet. and anything else which you desire to have with you. There is no need to bring the kitchen sink!! Just enough to make sure that you are properly organised.

Breathing & Visualisation
This meditation was given to me during a shamanic journey to the spirit of trees. It is very simple and focuses on both the body and the mind.

Begin by finding a comfortable sitting position with your back against a tree. When you are ready, begin to consciously relax your muscles, maybe by mentally noting the different parts of your body and 'telling them' to relax. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and let tension slip away. Feel the air around you. Feel the tree at your back. Feel the earth beneath you. Take another deep breath. Feel the safety and protection of the tree, feel its life.

Now take nine deep breaths. Slowly breath in and slowly breath out. With every breath you take, feel yourself move further and further into the tree - through the bark and right into the centre of the tree.

When you reach this point notice how you feel being in the centre of this tree. What if anything do you see there? What if anything do you hear? Stay there for as long as feels comfortable.

Now begin to take nine deep breaths once again. With every breath feel yourself move further out of the tree and deep into your own body. Concentrate on your feet and the earth beneath you.

Once you have taken the nine breaths, open your eyes. Look around you and continue to breath. Take time to make sure you are fully back in your body.

Visualisation
Begin as in the previous meditation by relaxing your body and making sure you are comfortable. Take time to breath to help your body release tension and to cleanse your system.

Close your eyes. Focus your attention on the roots of the tree beneath and around you. Feel how they spread out into the earth, going deeper and deeper into the soil. Feel your own connection to the earth, the gravity that keeps you grounded. Focus on this for a while.

Now move your attention to the trunk of the tree. Feel its strength and surety. Concentrate on your own spine and how, like the trunk, it supports you and connects you to both the earth and the sky. Now imagine that the two are as one - that the trunk of the tree is part of you, supporting youin every day life. Stay there and breath into that feeling.

When you feel ready, begin to focus your attention on the branches of the tree which spread far about you. Feel their freedom, how they sway in the breeze and draw in the sunlight. Feel how they reach to the sky. Concentrate on your mind and head. Feel how it reaches for enlightenment and wisdom. Feel the freedom of the sky and the air. Breathe slowly and remain focused on this for a while.

Now return your attention to the roots of the tree. Focus on being as grounded as they are. Once you are ready, begin to focus on your body and open your eyes. Take time to ensure that you are fully back in your body before you begin to move.

Tree meditation is a very simple yet profound way of re-connecting to the earth. It is not necessary to live in the country, there are plenty of trees in parks in the cities. Ensure when you go to meditate that you feel secure in the place where you are sitting. You may wish to go with a friend. Either way, take time with yourself and with the trees. You are worth it and so are they.
